TG Omori, the director of rapper, Naira Marley’s, song ‘Am I a Yahoo Boy,’ has clarified that the video depicts that Naira Marley is not an internet fraudster.

Naira Marley had released the official video of latest single, ‘Am I A Yahoo Boy’ featuring Zlatan Ibile on Thursday.

He revealed this in a correspondence shared with TheCable on Friday.

“We shot the video in six hours featuring from Zlatan Ibile and special appearances from his friends and fans. The whole idea behind the video was to give a visual representation that my client is just trying to clear the air that he is not a fraudster,” he wrote in parts.

Omori also revealed that the entire video was shot in less than six hours.

Early on Friday, the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), had arrested Naira Marley.

The commission’s acting spokesperson, Tony Orilade, was quoted as telling Punchng.com that he was arrested in relation to internet fraud cases known locally as ‘Yahoo Yahoo’.

“Yes, he is with us. He’s not the only person; he had some other persons also arrested alongside (him).

“They were arrested in relation to advance fee fraud — Internet-related cases and all of that. Give me a little time and I will get you the details,” Mr Orilade said.
