The prosecutor, Mrs Ijeoma Ukagha, told the court that the defendant and one other now at large committed the offence on Oct. 31, at about 9.30 p.m.

Ukagha alleged that a police patrol team led by Insp. Kawo Ndakwu, attached to the Utako Police Station Abuja, arrested the defendant in a black spot by Mabushi pedestrian bridge, Abuja.

She said during police investigation the defendant could give a satisfactory account of himself.

She said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 95 of the Penal Code.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Judge, Alhaji Inuwa Maiwada, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50, 000, with a reliable surety in like sum.
