Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has congratulated Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris on his 60th birthday.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja, the guild said the minister has built a career in journalism, publishing and public service.
The statement was jointly signed by GOCOP president Danlami Nmodu and general secretary Sufuyan Ojeifo.
According to the guild, Minister Idris has shown focus on clear public communication and direct engagement on national issues.
GOCOP said his experience in both the media and public sectors has influenced his approach to information management and public messaging.
The guild also wished him good health and continued service to the country.

Idris was sworn in as minister on August 21, 2023, following his appointment by President Bola Tinubu.
Before joining government, he founded Blueprint newspaper, WE FM radio and Rapid Television in Abuja.
He studied English at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto and Bayero University, Kano.
He is also the founder of Bifocal Communications, a public relations and communications firm.
Mohammed Idris served as director of strategic communications for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council before his appointment as minister.
He is also the founder of the Mohammed Idris Malagi Foundation.
