Veteran actor Pete Edochie has endorsed the decision by the Active Movie Producers and Marketers Association (AMPMAN) to quit producing seasonal movies.

In a statement posted on Instagram on Wednesday, the actor noted the decision will bring back the glory of Nollywood.

He said: “A revolution is about to hit the Nollywood industry, Active Movie Producers and Marketers Association have decided to bring back the glory of Nollywood, the pride of Nollywood and how do they intend to do it? There will be no more seasons one, two, three, four, five.

“Part one two three four five no! all these will be replaced with what our efforts have always been. With movies that last for one hour, thirty minutes that is what we are used to. I endorse it wholeheartedly and that is why I said I should let you know.”

Pete Edochie recently celebrated his 75th birthday.
