One of the hardest working female DJs in the country DJ Lamboghini has revealed that many people expect her to fail in her calling as a ‘wheel-spinner’ simply because she is a woman.
In a chat with qed.ng at a recent event in Lagos, DJ Lambo, as she is sometimes called, also stated that the adrenaline rush she gets anytime she makes people happy and gets them to ‘turn up’ is more than enough motivation for her to keep working hard at her career.
In her words, “Anytime I get to thrill people and make them happy, there’s this adrenaline rush that takes over me which makes me fulfilled.”
Speaking further, she quipped, “Knowing that I’m one of the few female DJs in town also spurs me on, and I don’t want to ever let my fans down.”
On the challenges she has faced in the industry, DJ Lambo wasted no time in saying, “It’s a man’s world, and because I’m female, some people expect me to fail just because of that. So I always have to put up my A-game to make my supporters proud of me.”
