Black Magic‘Repete’ crooner, BlackMagic, believes that virtually every type of music is sellable in the Nigerian market, provided that the artiste brands and packages it in the right way.

Speaking with qed.ng at the launch of Nigeria Breweries’ Ace Smooth recently, BlackMagic noted that there are sound tracks to every situation in life. According to him, “Music doesn’t lie! There are sound tracks to every event in life, and I believe that you can sell anything provided that you package it right and well. People need to identify and fall in love with the music first before it can be successful. Furthermore, there are different kinds of music for different moods, and the market is wide enough to accommodate them all.”

Also speaking on his music personality and philosophy, the ‘Confam’ artiste said, “I always try to be unique and natural, and I speak from my roots all the time.”

On the similarity of his brand and the new herbal alcoholic drink from Nigeria Breweries, BlackMagic enthused, “I think Ace Smooth is a great drink. It is natural and from the roots. Roots represent everything that comes from the earth, and I love it. Naturally, everybody wants to be associated with great things, and I believe that this drink will go far.”

On his latest career moves, BlackMagic quipped, “I will be working a lot with Xela, the guy who produced ‘Repete’. I’m going to be releasing some new singles soon. Meanwhile, I’m also in the process of shooting a video for my song, ‘Africa’ remix with Phyno, Reminisce and Vector, and it will be released soon.”

The lanky and ebony-hued singer also hinted that his album will be released to coincide with his birthday on April 21, 2015.
