Senator Chimaroke Nnamani (PDP, Enugu East) has clashed with tweeps over his inclusion in the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council.

Nnamani made the 422-man list released on Saturday by the APC. The former governor of Enugu, who has been speaking favourably about the APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, is yet to issue a rebuttal over his inclusion in the APC presidential campaign council.

Spokesperson of the council, Festus Keyamo, has also said Nnamani’s inclusion was not an error as many Nigerians alluded, insisting that no part of the Electoral Act or Provision stipulates that a party member has to campaign for his political platform’s presidential candidate at all cost.

Nnamani is believed to be in support of Tinubu over PDP’s disregard of a zoning arrangement which would have seen a southerner emerge as presidential candidate instead of Atiku, a northerner.

On Sunday, Nnamani addressed the way some PDP chieftains were pressing their demands. He tweeted, “Scoundrels, demagogues, mediocre, under achievers, low intellect low lives who have scammed Igbo Youth and turned them into Children of hateful Conception and vile will suffer eternal Damnation.

“Entitled dysfunctional big men. Who feel Nigeria owes them something! Waiting to get paid. Demanding by force. Rather than applying guile and Patience. Youthful inpatient baby lions aborting the hunt. They are certainly headed for perdition.”

Some tweeps attacked him for his comments and he responded to some of them.

Nnamani also tweeted what he called Politics 101 and how he felt southern PDP leaders should have approached the issue of zoning.

He wrote, “POLITICS 101:1.Take on Atiku on challenge and offer to quit if zoned to South East 2.INSIST on Zoning or no convention. 3.Take Chairmanship and release after getting Presidential ticket 4.After Tambuwal came back for a second round. INSIST on new convention.”

Revelling in the attention he was getting, the lawmaker tweeted, “I am truly humbled by all the attention and concern about my political trajectory. I must confess to somewhat enjoying my ” Andy Warhol moment de gloire ” Certainly, I now believe as e dey pain them! E dey sweet me!”
