Pastor Adeboye prays for health workers and security agents amid coronavirus pandemic

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said a prayer for health workers and security agents working tirelessly to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a video posted on social media on Thursday, Adeboye assured health workers and security personnel he was one of those who appreciate their work especially in this time of the pandemic.

He said: “I want you to know that I as a person and my family as a whole we’ve been praying for you that the almighty God will take care of you even as you’re taking care of others.

“I pray that the plague will not come near you, that you’ll all come out of this healthy, strong and even closer to the almighty God.”

As part of measures to protect health workers, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, has urged Nigerian tailors to start mass-producing face masks, using the country’s local fabrics.

This follows recommendations by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for the use of cloth for face covering to help reserve surgical masks or N-95 respirators for medical professionals fighting the virus.
