Parents of abducted Kaduna forestry college protest at National Assembly

Parents of the abducted students of College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka in Kaduna State on Tuesday took to the National Assembly complex Abuja to protest the delay in freeing their children.

They were accompanied by members of the students’ union government (SUG) of the institution to lament what they described as negligence of the state and federal government in securing the release of the children.

Carrying placards, they called for more action from the government.

The parents have been forced to use several methods in getting the government to rescue their children. One of such is an ultimatum which did not materialise.

Thirty-nine students were abducted from their hostels in the college on March 11, 2021.

However, 10 students have so far been released in two batches of five each.
