P-Square: Bank Alert was my song, I won’t be deceived to feature Peter again – Paul

P-Square

The crisis in P-Square got messier on Tuesday when one half of the warring singing duo, Paul Okoye, claimed that the group’s track, ‘Bank Alert’, was his solo song.

‘Bank Alert’ was released last year shortly after the brothers seemingly ended the 2016 edition of what has become an annual beef between them.

With the twins now resuming were they left off last year, Paul hinted in a Twitter post on Tuesday that he was deceived into releasing ‘Bank Alert’ as a P-Square production, thereby sharing credit with Peter.

Posting a shot from the song’s video, he said it was “the day I was shooting my first ever solo music video,” adding that “I won’t be deceived dis time.”

He had earlier posted a picture of himself working in the studio with the hashtag #OneStepatatime.

Paul has often positioned himself as the songwriter and singer in P-Square, and that his brother was just a dancer.

Last week, he took a swipe at Peter, who has been doing some gigs in the US by telling people to “stop tagging me in any beer parlor or restaurants appearance in America”.

To which the other responded that he was not in competition with him and had moved on.

Peter even said he had no problem with people calling him up and coming artiste and that he was willing to concede that Paul was supposed to be the main figure in P-Square.
