Pastor Michael Eso and wife Deborah Eso buried

Pastor Michael Eso of the Last Days Deliverance Miracle Ministry and his wife Deborah Eso were buried on Friday in Ireti-Ayo, Ilesa, Osun State, one week after they were both found dead.

The couple, 55 and 50 years respectively, were buried after a solemn service by their church on Thursday.

Families, friends neighbours, well wishes and sympathisers wailed uncontrollably as the couple were interred in their residence.

Husband and wife were found dead in their dining room on Friday, October 1 and the cause of death is not known yet confirmed. Many, however, suspect they were poisoned,

The couple’s house help, a 13-year-old Beninese (name withheld), is in police custody as prime suspect.

One of their neighbours Bayo Inaolaji described the deceased as gentle, easy-going, committed, hardworking and God-fearing people.

Mr. Inaolaji said though no one could question God, the untimely death of the couple was very unfortunate.

He said the couple were very hale and hearty before going to bed that fateful day only “for me to hear they are gone”.

Inaolaji urged the police to expedite action and investigate the cause of their deaths.

Osun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Yemisi Opalola say investigation on the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the couple was ongoing.

Opalola promised to make result of the autopsies public to allow justice to prevail.
