Osinbajo’s pilots are Nigerians not foreigners – Spokesman

Laolu Akande, spokesman of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has said that pilots who fly the Vice President’s airplane or chopper are Nigerians.

A group known as the Aviation Round Table (ART) had alleged that the chopper carrying Prof Osinbajo on February 2 when it crashed in Kogi State was being flown by a foreign pilot.

However, Mr Akande tweeted on Thursday to deny the claim.

“For the record: all the (plane or chopper) pilots that fly the Vice President are Nigerians. Ignore any insinuations or suggestions to the contrary,” he wrote.
