Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has shared a heartfelt video on Instagram in commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the Kabba helicopter crash.

Osinbajo’s helicopter crash landed on February 2, 2019 in Kabba, Kogi State. Everyone on board was safe.

The former number two citizen had travelled to Kogi as part of the implementation of the social intervention programme of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

In his caption for the post on Friday, Prof Osinbajo wrote, “Many Battles, Many Struggles. But God has been there for us, fighting for us, winning for us. He has never lost a fight.

“The numbers of my scars are the number of my victories. That’s why our praise can never be the same as yours.”

He added, “5 years later, God we give you praise, We give you glory, We give you adoration and we GIVE YOU THANKS.”

In the video, Osinbajo addressed a congregation where he explained that God alone should be praised for saving him and others from death.

According to him, after the crash, fuel spilled and fortunately it did not result in fire.

The professor of law enjoined the congregation to continually praise God, adding “Whether we live or die, people will still praise God.”

In June 2017, Osinbajo survived a similar accident when the helicopter he was travelling in crash-landed shortly after take-off in Gwagawalada, Abuja.
