Osinbajo has left Lagos APC for Ogun — Aide

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has left the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos for Ogun State.

The law professor was a chieftain of the Lagos APC with his polling unit at Code 33, Unit 2 Victoria Garden City, Lagos.

His spokesman Laolu Akande confirmed to Daily Trust on Tuesday that the number two citizen has moved his membership of the party to Ogun.

This followed a report published online that Osinbajo revalidated his APC membership status in Ward One, Ikenne, Ogun State on February 9, 2021.

Mr Akande, however, denied speaking with the online platform which quoted him to have said Osinbajo was no longer a member of the Lagos state chapter of the APC.

“If you only manage to read the story, you will see that the event of the registration in Ikenne was last year or so. I did not grant interview to those online platforms at all,” he said.

Osinbajo declared his presidential ambition to APC governors on Monday. On Tuesday, he hosted APC Senate caucus members for the breaking of fast at his official residence.
