Actress Osas Ighodaro has made a bold fashion statement as she unveiled her first look for the 2026 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The actress, on Saturday stepped out in a sculptural crimson outfit designed by Veekee James as the award show officially began after earlier activities including the Icons Night and Cultural Night.
Osas shared photos of the outfit on Instagram with the caption, “Let’s Start” opening the 2026 AMVCAs in this look.
The outfit quickly attracted attention online, with celebrities including Bolaji Ogunmola and Charles Born reacting to the look.
The gown featured structured crimson bands arranged in a spiral pattern around the body, creating a sculptural effect. The design also included a geometric extension around the hip area and a matching headpiece framing the actress’ head. Crystals lined the bands, adding texture to the outfit.
Makeup for the look was done by Damola Adeniji while photographs were taken by Felix Crown.
Veekee James has become known for creating statement outfits for celebrities at major entertainment events and has dressed several public figures at previous AMVCA ceremonies.
Organised by MultiChoice, the AMVCAs celebrate achievements in film and television across Africa, recognising actors, filmmakers, producers and content creators in different categories.
