Founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has announced a review of overseas scholarships.

Chinyere, who only just recovered after collapsing at an airport, has been in the news over his clash with former security guards known as Happie Boys whom he sent to Cyprus on scholarship. The boys accused him of having abandoning them. But Chinyere said he stopped sending them money because of the increase in naira to dollar rate.

In his post on Facebook on Wednesday, Chinyere said: “Last year July 2022, I collapsed at OPM free hospital and was rushed to Dubai for treatment because of stress. Again this year July 2023, I collapsed at Lagos airport while trying to visit my doctor after I noticed changes in body because so many stress.

“By the grace of GOD I will no longer over stress myself again because I have many more destinies GOD will use me to save.”

Speaking on his empowerment programmes, the cleric noted that he had made some adjustments to avoid past mistakes.

Chinyere noted that there will no longer be stipend for feeding for beneficiaries sent overseas.

“On like the more than 300 persons I sent to Dubai. (It can be confirmed). I paid rent for almost one years for them, till I said I will no longer pay rent for people that come to hustle. NO MORE.

“No feeding money will be given to you. You don enter HUSTLE as soon as you land. Remember you are not to refund to OPM shishi spent on you to travel overseas as it has always been.”

Chinyere advised potential beneficiaries to work hard and fend for themselves when they get the opportunity to travel overseas.
