Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has welcomed twin sons with his wife Mariam Ogunwusi.
The monarch announced the birth in a social media post on Friday, thanking God for the safe delivery of the babies.
“To God be all the glory and adoration for His wondrous works and abundant blessings once again!
“Warmest congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and to Olori Mariam Ajibola on the joyous arrival of twin princes to the royal throne of Oduduwa today.
“We give thanks to Almighty God as both mother and children are in good health,” the post read.
The twins are the latest addition to the royal family. Ooni Ogunwusi already has twins Prince Obalabi and Princess Ademilokan born to Olori Tobi in 2024.
He also has Prince Tadenikawo, born to his former wife Naomi Silekunola in 2020, and Princess Adeola from an earlier relationship.
After his marriage to Naomi ended in December 2021, the monarch married six wives in 2022, namely Mariam Anako, Opeoluwa Akinmuda, Tobi Phillips, Ashley Adegoke, Ronke Ademiluyi and Temitope Adesegun.
