Actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has reacted to the attack on the worshippers of St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, on Sunday, by gunmen.

The explosion reportedly occurred on the church premises while mass was ongoing, sending worshippers scampering for safety.

Reacting in an Instagram post on Sunday night, the Ondo indigene pointed out that she was heartbroken over the attack that led to the loss of lives.

Using hashtags, Omotola wrote: “#Owo #Ondo #Nigeria.”

Saddened over the attack, singer Simi wrote on Twitter saying, “I keep typing and deleting the things I’m feeling, because who cares how I’m feeling when people actually lost their loved ones. Their parents. Their children. Slight panic attack.”

Another singer Davido also called for prayers following the attack.

On his Twitter page on Sunday, Davido wrote, “Jesus take control. Pray for Nigeria. RIP to all the lost souls. #prayforondo. This is too much.”
