Actress Biodun Okeowo, also known as Omoborty, has responded to those who criticised her for celebrating her colleague Lizzy Anjorin on her birthday.

Lizzy who added another year on Thursday was celebrated by many of her colleagues including Mercy Aigbe, Faithia Williams and Omoborty.

Celebrating her colleague, Bidoun wrote: “Happy birthday to my incredibly hardworking Alhaja! May your special day be filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

“As you continue to shine, may you be blessed with even more success, happiness, and fulfillment in the year ahead? Here’s to many more remarkable achievements and inspiring moments. Age gracefully @lizzyanjorin_original.”

Omoborty was, however, criticised for celebrating the actress who is currently in a legal fight with fellow actress Iyabo Ojo.

Many opined that Omoborty should not have celebrated Lizzy because she (Omoborty) and Iyabo are close friends.

Reacting to the criticism in an Instagram post on Friday, stated that she is an advocate for peace and that life is too short for unnecessary conflicts.

She wrote: “Hmmmmmmm. God, please rain down your peace, I plead. 🙏

“I am an advocate of PEACE ✌️. Let no one teach me otherwise on this space. Upbringing matters, so internet won’t change me now. Hope that sinks.

“Dear fans, Hope you know that when our loved ones fight, it puts us, their friends, in a dangerous spot. Why are some of you compounding it? How do we live to inherit a feud we don’t know the genesis?

“If only people know that, When there’s no peace, it affects both the innocent and the culprit. It is extremely exhausting! Dear God! Please this peace is needed NOW! 🙏

“Honestly, it’s so sad. I don’t know why the Yoruba Adage of “Agba kiwa loja, kori omo tuntun wo” is not working here? Life is too short for unnecessary conflicts. Let’s choose peace and kindness instead. Let’s remember that forgiveness and understanding can heal wounds and restore harmony. May we find the strength to let go of grudges and embrace reconciliation. AMEN.”
