Olamide dumps Fashola for Ambode

Olamide

Pop musician, Olamide, has all but ended his relationship with former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, in favour of the incumbent Akinwunmi Ambode.

It would be recalled that the YBNL boss was a favourite of the former governor who was present during the naming ceremony for the artiste’s child in February 2015.

A source close to the ‘Who You Epp’ singer however informed this medium that the relationship was one of the early casualties of the no love lost relationship between Fashola and his predecessor.

Desirous to use the best talents in the land to drive his administration’s brand campaign, Ambode singled out Olamide for special patronage after he became governor in May 2015.

That resulted in the promotional song, ‘Love Lagos’, which has become an anthem of sort in official circle.

The 27-year-old followed that up with a verse in Phyno’s ‘Fada Fada’ where he recognised Ambode as his adopted father.

Olamide, we are told, no longer reaches out to his former benefactor.
