Oko Oloyun buried in Oyo hometown amid tears

The remains of the late trado-medical practitioner, Fatai Yusuf, popularly known as Oko Oloyun, has been buried.

Yusuf was shot dead by unknown gunmen on Thursday on Eruwa-Igbo-Ora Road in Oyo State.

The deceased was buried on Friday at his Otu hometown in Iseyin, Oyo State according to Islamic rites.

Fuji music maestro, Saheed Osupa, also shared a clip from the burial ceremony on Instagram on Saturday.

He captioned the clip: “This is how Alhaji Fatai Yusuf Oko Oloyun remains was buried. May his soul Rest In Peace.”

Police said on Friday that they were interrogating the deceased’s two armed escorts who were with him at the time of the shooting. Oko Oloyun’s other staff are also being questioned.

The founder of Oko-Oloyun Worldwide and De-Fayus International was said to have discovered fraud in his Lagos office.

Police are looking at a possible connection between a fire incident at his office to cover up suspected fraud and the shooting.
