Commercial motorcyclists also known as Okada riders have clashed with law enforcement officers at Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos.

The incident comes days after Okada riders also clashed with the police at Ijora area of the state following the ban on Okada and tricycles known as Keke in some parts of Lagos.

In videos seen on social media on Wednesday, several persons are seen setting bonfires.

Eyewitnesses say buses have been destroyed while stones have been hurled at law enforcement officers.

A vehicle belonging to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) is also seen on fire, although the authenticity of the video could not be confirmed.

The police are said to have sent reinforcement to the area to restore order.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said on Tuesday that the ban would not be reversed.
