Abike Dabiri gets free Okada ride to mosque for Eid prayer

Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa on Wednesday got a free ride to Lekki Central Mosque in Lagos for Eid prayer.

Mrs Dabiri-Erewa said in an Instagram post that when she was ready to head to the mosque she realised the road was blocked.

The NIDCOM boss said a commercial motorcyclist called Okada rider in local parlance gave her a free ride to the mosque as she was running late.

Dabiri-Erewa made a video of herself on the moving motorcycle.

“Almost late for Eid prayers, only to find the road to the mosque blocked off. Grateful for the kindness of an Okada (bike) man who gave me a free ride. Nagode to him!” She wrote.

“A reminder of the blessings of the season: kindness, community, and the spirit of giving. Grateful for his gesture!”

Dabiri-Erewa on Monday led the London to Lagos solo driver Pelumi Nubi and her parents to Lagos House, Marina where they met Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
