Obiano votes, says process peaceful

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has cast his vote at Eri unit 004 Atocha in Anambra East local government area.

Anambra is one of the states where the governorship seat is not for grabs as Mr Obiano was only re-elected in November 2017.

Obiano, alongside his wife, Ebelechukwu, cast their votes at about 10:54 am on Saturday.

The governor said information he received across the three senatorial zones of the state, showed that the process is peaceful.

He added that he was confident that his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), would win the 30 constituencies in a landslide.

“I am very confident that at the end of the day, the party will win this election by a landslide,” he said.

Obiano said he was happy the card readers were functioning well.

He then urged the electorate to wait after casting their votes to avoid misinformation.
