NYSC member kills self in Enugu, leaves suicide note

Police in Enugu have begun investigating alleged suicide by a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the state.

Bolufemi Motunrayo, a Batch C NYSC member serving in Girls Secondary School, Ibagwa-Aka, was found dead on Friday.

Enugu police spokesman, Ebere Amaraizu, said on Sunday that the incident is being investigated.

“Police has already commenced investigations on circumstances surrounding her death which happened on Friday, January 10,” he said.

Motunrayo was an indigene of Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi and was a graduate of Banking and Finance from Prince Abubakar Audu University.

She was said to have left a suicide note which read “I did this because I see nothing worth living for in this world.”
