2face shares Sound Sultan’s music video, laments state of Africa

Singer Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2face on Monday shared a throwback music video of his friend late Sound Sultan as he laments the state of Africa.

The 46-year-old uploaded the video on Instagram saying, “Goodmorning Africa, which way? Unwash the brainwash.”

The song ‘Fayaa Fayaa’ which features Duktor Sett and afrobeat singer Seun Kuti talks about government oppression, injustice, brutality and discrimination against black people.

It also expressed how religion and bad leadership have continued to divide the nation.

Sound Sultan released four albums under Kennis Music from 1997 to 2007.

On the expiration of his contract, the singer partnered with Baba Dee to start Naija Ninjas, a parent organisation for a record label, production outfit and clothing line.

Under Naija Ninjas, he released Back From The Future in 2010.

In 2016, Sound Sultan released his seventh album, Out of the Box, which featured Patoranking, Sarkodie and 2face Idibia.

Sound Sultan born Olanrewaju Fasasi died of cancer of the lymphatic system in the United States of America at the age of 44.
