‘No empathy’, Nigerians knock Buhari for snubbing Lekki shooting in broadcast

Muhammadu Buhari

Nigerians have taken to social media to express their disappointment with President Muhammadu Buhari over his broadcast on Thursday which failed to address the shooting of protesters in Lekki area of Lagos on Tuesday night.

According to videos seen, #EndSARS protesters were shot at by men in military uniform.

The president in his broadcast urged the youth to stop protesting, suggesting that his administration was not weak in heeding to protesters’ demand to disband the controversial Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

Although, the authenticity of the Lekki shooting is being questioned, Nigerians on Twitter say the president showed no empathy in his broadcast.
