Nigerians condemn FG over treason charges on Sowore

Nigerians have condemned the Federal Government for filing treason charges against Omoyele Sowore.

The Federal Government, on Friday, filed seven counts of treasonable felony and money laundering against Sowore.

Mr Sowore is charged alongside Olawale Bakare popularly known as Mandate.

In the charges instituted against the defendants, Sowore and his co-defendant are accused of conspiring to remove the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Sowore is also accused of money laundering in breach of section 15(1) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011.
