Each member of the House of Representatives on resumption is by law entitled to N9.926,062.5 being summation of furniture allowance of N5,955,637.5 and accommodation allowance of N3, 970,425.

Also, each senator is entitled to N10,132,000 on assumption of office, N4,052,800 goes for accommodation allowance while furniture allowance is N6,079,200.

Nigerians have appeared displeased with the huge sums which public servants will be receiving despite high rate of poverty in the country.
