Nollywood actress and producer, Blessing Egbe, has revealed that her latest movie, Ten Virgins, cost over N40 million to make.

The producer of the wave-making Lekki Wives disclosed this in an interview with pulse.ng.

“Yes indeed. It is a high budget film. Over 40 million Naira has gone into the film. The cast is huge. We constructed a lot of the locations used. The costumes took a big chunk of our budget because we tried to do our best to be realistic.

“This is not to speak about the VFX/Special effects, music, and art direction that also gulped a great percentage. Likewise, the post-production process. We achieved what we set out to despite all the negatives that come with working under this clime,” she said.

In an exclusive interview with eelive in February, Blessing Egbe admitted that sex-for-roles remains a problem in Nollywood.

She discussed Ten Virgins at length describing it as an ‘adaptation of the biblical parable of ten virgins.’

Blessing was born into family of eight in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

She attended the University of Calabar and graduated from its department of Theatre Arts in 2001.
