Murray-Bruce shares picture with Boris Johnson after May’s resignation

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has shared a picture of himself and a member of UK Parliament, Boris Johnson, moments after British Prime Minister, Theresa May, announced her resignation.

Vice-Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during 2019 general elections, Peter Obi, was also in the photograph shared on Twitter on Friday.

Mr Johnson is in the frontline to succeed Mrs May after she announced Friday at 10 Downing Street that she would step down on June 7.

Murray-Bruce wrote simply on Twitter “Loading!” alongside the picture.

Johnson, a staunch Brexiteer, had in July 2018 resigned as foreign secretary to protest his disagreement with May’s Brexit strategy.

UK Parliament knocked off May’s Brexit plan three times, forcing her to resign for a new leader to oversee Britain’s arduous departure from Europe.
