Mikel leads tribute for Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, at 50

Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, clocked 50 on Monday. The Russian Billionaire, according to Forbes magazine, is the 137th richest person in the world.

Abramovich took over the helms at Stamford Bridge from Ken Bates in 2003 and instantly changed the face of club football in England and the world at large.

The club has since won an unbelievable 15 trophies including four Premier League and FA Cup titles as well as the UEFA Champions and Europa Leagues.

While the club was still celebrating Sunday’s 4-0 defeat of Manchester United to wish their benefactor a happy birthday, Super Eagles skipper and out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder, Mikel Obi, led those paying tribute on social media.
