Two killed, cars burnt as petrol tanker explodes in Lagos

Two people have been reported dead on Wednesday morning after fire broke out when a petrol tanker fell at Barracks Bus Stop, along the Mile 2/Badagry Expressway, Ojo, Lagos, spilling its content on the ground.

The truck was reported to have been loaded with 33,000 litres of petroleum product.

Firemen, police officers and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) have begun operations to put out the fire and rescue victims.

About five vehicles have also been razed in the fire which occurred in front of Onireke Police Station, Barracks bus stop.
