Tributes have been coming from the international music community for US R&B singer and songwriter, James Ingram, who died on Tuesday at the age of 66.

Among those who have eulogised the late singer is legendary producer, Quincy Jones, with whom he co-wrote Michael Jackson’s ‘PYT’.

Other mourners include musicians, Jody Watley, Tevin Campbell, Gerald Albright, Richard Marx, and basketball legend, Earvin “Magic” Johnson.

A Grammy-winner and Oscar-nominee, Ingram had two US number ones, with the smooth soul ballads ‘Baby Come To Me’ (1986) and ‘I Don’t Have The Heart’ (1990).

Below are some of the tributes, starting with that of Grey’s Anatomy actress and the deceased friend, Debbie Allen, who announced his death on Twitter.
