Brand strategy consultant Leke Alder has revealed he had just recovered from cancer.

The founder of Alder Consulting made the revelation at an event tagged ‘Intimate Festival of Words’ to mark his 60th birthday on February 23.

At the event, Mr Alder also presented his 270-page autobiography Leke Alder which, according to him, reveals everything anyone would like to know about him.

The event, which was held at Alliance Francaise, Mike Adenuga Centre in Lagos, had the likes of the founder of Doyin Group of Companies Prince Samuel Adedoyin, clergymen Sam Adeyemi and Paul Adefarasin, and media entrepreneur Dele Momodu in attendance.

Dressed in a black agbada, which he said he was not used to, Alder began his speech by saying he was thankful to have real friends.

Then he said, “2020 was a tough year for us, I was diagnosed with cancer and this month marks the end of my treatment. I’m glad to announce that I’m cancer-free but then my life has been a life of challenges every decade has always been one major illness or the other. The devil is running after me and I want to chase him as well.”

The public speaker added that just as he was recovering from cancer he was diagnosed with another major illness which he would not mention because he does not want pity, but prayers.

“It’s been tough on my wife and children but all I just want to do tonight after this speech is to dance with my wife. We haven’t danced in the last four years,” he said.
