Lagos speaker visits teenage victim of Mile 12 mayhem in hospital

Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, Saturday paid a surprise visit to 16-year-old Bolaji Kalejaiye who was hit by stray bullets during the recent Mile 12 crisis at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.

Obasa was in company of the Assembly Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Omotayo Oduntan; Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security, Tunde Buraimoh, and Chairman, House Committee on Health, Segun Olulade.

Others were Chairman, House Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, Public Petitions and LASIEC, Adefunmilayo Tejuoso; Chairman, House Committee on Youths, Sports and Social Development, Adedamola Richard Kasumu, and Hon. Jude Idimogu.

The delegation was received by the victim’s mother, Mrs. Alero Kalejaiye.

At the end of the visit, the Speaker donated N500,000 to offset the victim’s medical bills.
