Lagos monarch, Saheed Elegushi, picks second wife from Kano

Elegushi of Ikateland, His Royal Majesty Oba Saheed Elegushi, Kusenla III, is set to pick his second wife from Kano State, City People reports.

His new bride, Hadiza Tanko, is the younger sister to Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor, Salihu Tanko.

Oba Elegushi has reportedly been married to Olori Sekinat Aramide for 16 years with three daughters as the products of their relationship.

The monarch celebrated his ninth coronation anniversary on April 27.

The 21st monarch of Ikate-Elegushi was said to be the youngest Lagos monarch on his coronation on April 27, 2010.

He was born on April 10, 1976 into the royal Elegushi family, from Kusenla ruling house of Ikateland, Lagos State.

Before his coronation, the monarch was part of the administration of former Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, and also that of Babatunde Fashola as senior special assistant in charge of special duties.

He is credited with transforming the ancient waterfront land to a model royal kingdom.
