The beauty industry in Lagos was grief-stricken on Monday following the death of founder and creative director of Beyond Faces Makeovers, Yewande Peregrino, after what was described as a brief illness.
News of Yewande’s death was broken on social media by some of her friends who expressed deep sadness at her passing.
The mother of a four-year-old daughter reportedly took ill recently but kept the true state of her health from the public.
She has since been buried at the Atan Cemetary in Yaba according to Islamic rites.
The University of Lagos mass communication graduate set up Beyond Faces in May 2005.
She was an official of the Makeup Artists Guild of Nigeria.
Her burial was handled by Bolanle Badejo-Okusanya’s LTJ Funerals.
