Kwara assembly urges AbdulRazaq to revoke Saraki’s property

Kwara State House of Assembly has urged Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to revoke acquisition, appropriation and conversion of residence of the late Olusola Saraki.

The property situated on Ilofa Road, GRA, Ilorin, is popularly known as ‘Ile Arugbo.’

The assembly made the call during plenary on Tuesday after reviewing the report of its committee on land, housing and urban development on the property.

Chairman of the committee, Felix Awodiji (APC-Ifelodun), presented the report before the assembly.

The lawmakers want the governor to declare the process the late Saraki used in acquiring the property as void.

The Speaker, Danladi Yakubu-Salihu, reading the assembly’s resolution, said the property belongs to the state government and should be revoked.

Kwara lawmakers had made a similar call on July 23 to revoke government chalet sold to former Senate President Bukola Saraki in Ilorin.
