Actor Kunle Remi, one of Nollywood’s eligible bachelors, has finally tied the knot with his partner simply known as Tiwi.
The Anikulapo star surprised the public when he announced his secret marriage to Tiwi in an Instagram post on Sunday night.
Kunle posted photos of himself and his new wife, including a photo showing off their wedding rings with a summary of how they ended up becoming husband and wife.
He wrote: “First Slide 👩🏾TIWI -: Hey KR, Pull up!
“Second slide. 👨🏾KR -: Pulled up and put a ring on it.
“Third slide 🤵🏾♂️👰🏾♀️ BOO -: Locked in.

“But first: This is from us to you reading this.
“We pray that the divine ability to meet your person and begin the journey of a lifetime is yours. We know fully well that the Love God has for you will be the balm against hopelessness and searching to no end. We ask you to stay calm and open to God’s definition of the best for you.
“We know two things: your person is already born, and they reside on earth. Stay open, expectant, and ready because 2024 you will celebrate in double. Amen.”
Speaking during an interview with Kristina Innemee published on Kunle’s website, the 35-year-old said they got married in a private ceremony in the fall of 2023. He, however, did not reveal where the wedding took place.
“We both wrote vows to each other during our private ceremony in the fall of 2023 and included our commitment to laughter in our marriage. It is one of the important stones we laid in the foundation of our home,” he said.
Speaking on her first impression of Kunle, Tiwi said: “Well, he was witty, reserved, and self-assured. And physically, there was no missing his Popeye arms and incredible smile. On a lighter note, his tight trousers and jewellery caught my attention. Hehe. I now know he owns more jewellery than me!”
While the news came as a surprise to his fans, it would appear that some of his colleagues already knew about the actor’s engagement and marriage to Tiwi as they stormed the comment section of the post to congratulate him.
Kunle’s onscreen wife and rumoured girlfriend Bimbo Ademoye wrote: “Finally !! I hate when y’all make me keep secrets. my faves. Hey Tiwi.”
“Finally. To hold gist is hard work. Now I can stop sweating. Congratulations K,” Kehinde Bankole wrote.
