Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has defended Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, after he was criticised for officiating a funeral hours after the death of his wife, former beauty queen, Ibidun Ighodalo.

The 48-year-old on Monday told the critics to “leave Pastor Ighodalo alone” in a post she shared on Twitter.

She wrote, “You cannot tell someone how they can mourn their loved ones. Leave Pastor Ituah alone. He keeps his word always and if anything he is a strong example of deep faith and courage in God!…”

Ituah Ighodalo, the Senior Pastor of Trinity House Church, Lagos, on Sunday officiated the funeral service of Deji Johnson, grandson of industrialist, Razak Okoya, hours after the death of his wife from a suspected cardiac arrest.

He admitted that he was shattered by the news but according to him, life must go on.

“For the past 72 and 84 hours, everywhere tensed, confused, frightening, and disturbing but here we are today. I mean, if they had told us last week Sunday that we will be here to celebrate Ayodeji’s life, we’ll say it’s not possible.

“But here we are right now and here he is. And of course, a lot of you know that I really shouldn’t be here but that’s how life is. So, this morning, I received a call that shattered my life but life must go on,” he said.
