Kanayo O. Kanayo pens tribute to parents on death anniversary

Actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has penned down a tribute to his parents Donatus and Isabella Onyekwere on the anniversary of their death

The movie star shared their photos on Instagram quoting a message from his late dad.

He wrote: “June 24. In loving memory of my parents, Mr & Mrs Donatus & Isabella Onyekwere. My father always said, BE CONTENT WITH WHATEVER YOU HAVE. what did your father always say?”

In 2020, Kanayo penned down an emotional tribute to his dad who died on June 24, 1984, and his mum January 5 2011.

“A day of solemn reflection for me in everlasting memories of my father Pa Donatus Nnaogu Onyekwere, who was called on 24/06/84(36 years ago) and my mother Ezinne Isabella Egeolu Onyekwere, 05/01/11.

“You now know I am an orphanage’. No Papa, no mama. So please alert me anywhere, Orphans are receiving palliative. A little prayer will do. God bless you,” he wrote.

Kanayo, born Anayo Onyekwere, made his debut film appearance in the 1992 movie Living in Bondage and has starred in over 100 films.

In 2006, he won the African Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

Kanayo has a degree in mass communications from the University of Lagos.

He also obtained a degree in law from the University of Abuja in 2019.
