First salary belongs to me not your pastor, Kanayo O. Kanayo tells son

NollywooNollywood actor Kanayo O Kanayo

Actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has said his son’s first salary should go to him for blessings and not his pastor.

The 62-year-old said this in a video shared on his Instagram account on Thursday in which he blessed his son Clinton who received his first salary from working as a production assistant on set.

“Clinton Onye Eze my son, just concluded a film production management with us and he has earned his first salary, his first salary is N50k for the movie, this is the culture of Ndi Igbo, the first salary of a man, goes to his father.

“All you who are going to your pastors to show your salary is a waste of time, it’s not part of our culture. Only a father can bless his son or daughter. I could also ask you to give me the entire money, it’s not for your pastor,” Kanayo said while blessing the boy.

Captioning the video, Kanayo wrote: “Take your first SALARY to your father for his blessings NOT TO YOUR PASTOR.

“And to that Pastor who said it belongs to him in a video in January, did you ever consider, the feeding/ transportation to and fro the office for that month? Where is this in the Bible?”
