Sunday Igboho’s house burnt in Ibadan

A house belonging to Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has been gutted by fire.

The house located in the Soka area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital went up in flame around 3 am on Tuesday.

Fire fighters from the Oyo State Fire Service arrived the scene a few hours after to douse the fire.

Sunday Igboho, who is the Akoni Oodua of Yoruba land, has been in the centre of the clash between herdsmen and residents of Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo State.

He had tried to eject Seriki Fulani, Salihu Abdukadir, and herdsmen accused of perpetrating crimes ranging from kidnappings, killings, rape to invasion of farmlands with their cattle from Fulani settlement in Igangan.
