Founder of Living Faith Church Pastor David Oyedepo has appeared in a video querying President Muhammadu Buhari’s slow response to claims that he is one Jubril from Sudan.

In the video Pastor Oyedepo is seen telling his congregation at the church’s headquarters at Ota, Ogun State that the president should have responded swiftly if the allegations were false.

“Why didn’t the president address the nation right away to clear the air? This same call has been made by two one-time leaders of this nation, President Olusegun Obasanjo and General Abdulsalami Abubakar.

“But if the president will not address the nation on a subject as sensitive as this, it must have been proved beyond any iota of doubt that maybe he is not our president,” Oyedepo said.

On saying this he called on his congregation to rise and pray that God would rescue Nigeria from “devastation, slavery, restore the dignity of the nation, destroy the hold of evil men on our nation, and deliver the nation from shame and reproach.”

There have been rumours of President Buhari’s death covered up by his party the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his cloning by a look-alike Sudanese with the name Jubril.

President Buhari, however, responded on Monday in Poland where he is attending the United Nations COP24 climate summit.

“It’s the real me, I assure you,” he said, answering a question from the audience. “I will soon celebrate my 76th birthday and I will still go strong.”
