John Dumelo enters Ghana’s parliamentary race

Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, has announced his plans to contest for a primary ticket to represent Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the Ghanaian parliament.

The 35-year-old movie star will vie for the ticket on the platform of the National Democratic Congress.

He disclosed this in an Instagram post on Friday.

“It’s time for Ayawaso West Wuogon….it’s time to listen and serve the interest of the people. It’s time for change….I John Dumelo, humbly ask you to support me on this journey. God bless you and God bless Ghana. Please follow the official campaign page for daily updates. @dumelo42020 #takingaction #gettingresults #idey4u,” he wrote.

His wife, Gifty Mawunya, also supported him, she shared pictures of him on her Instagram and asked supporters to back him.

“This is the day the Lord has made🙏🏽…it’s time for Ayawaso West Wuogon to elect an intelligent, hardworking, humble and a dedicated leader…This guy right here is a real patriot and his love for Ghana is real…please let’s support him on this worthy course 🙏🏽….#proudofyou @johndumelo1 @dumelo42020,” she wrote.

John Dumelo and Mawunya hosted a lavish white wedding to solemnize their union in May.

Actors, Fred Nuamah and Nadia Buari, were the best man and maid of honour at the well-attended occasion.
