Jide Kosoko goes on stage with South African divas

Veteran Nigerian actor, Jide Kosoko, will on Sunday, December 18 join Nollywood actress Doris Simeon; Malawian born South Africa diva, Zani Challe; South Africa Tinsel actress Thandekile Maseko, and CEO, Eagles House Global Resources, Alayande Stephen T, in a Black Image Theatre Productions tagged Peace of the Grave Yard.

Venue of the live stage performance is the Origin Gardens in Ebute Ipakodo, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

There will be two shows on the day. The first, which is the matinee, is between 3.00pm and 5.30pm, with red carpet starting at 5.30pm, while the command performance will be between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

Organisers say the night will also feature a lot of activities from comedy to music performance, dance, poetry, spoken word and traditional chanting etc.

The project is one of the numerous initiatives in the build-up to the Pan-Africa Theatre Festival (TAF) scheduled for 2017.

Peace of the Grave Yard is written by Thompson Tabi and directed by Paul O.J Uwagbai.

Challe, a TAF ambassador said during one of the rehearsals that “I am extremely grateful to God and the organisers of TAF for being part of this production especially as one of the eight TAF ambassadors across Africa and being shortlisted to be part of this stage play.

“This will be my first stage production in Nigeria and I am looking forward to this collaborative effort of working with other A-List Nigerian actors like Jide Kosoko and Doris Simeon especially using a platform like stage production.”

Written basically to describe the Nigerian situation, Peace of the Grave Yard has featured performances by many Nigerian artistes and celebrities over the years.
