Jaye Lo: Davido unfollows Isreal DMW on Instagram after apology to Muslims

Davido

Singer Davido, born David Adeleke, has unfollowed his logistics manager Isreal DMW on Instagram after the latter apologised to Muslims on his behalf.

Davido took to his Twitter page last Friday to post a music video of one of his signees, Logos Olori.

The ‘Jaye Lo’ music video, which captured Logos Olori sitting on the roof of a supposed mosque singing and a group of people who pose as Muslims praying in front of the mosque before bursting into dancing, was found offensive by some Muslims who described it as disrespectful to Islam.

Davido has since deleted the video after backlash. However, the singer has refused to apologise as demanded by many.

On Tuesday, Isreal DMW took to Instagram Story to apologise to Muslims on Davido’s behalf.

He said in the now-deleted post: “Let me especially apologise to my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies. It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”

Despite the credit netizens have piled up on Isreal DMW for looking out for his boss, Qed.ng can confirm Davido has unfollowed him on the photo-sharing app.

Isreal DMW, on the other hand, is still following Davido on Instagram.
