Jaiye’s birthday comes two days after she knocked some Nollywood veterans for begging online.

The actress lamented the trend of ailing actors begging for help online over their deteriorating conditions stressing that their cry for help is damaging the image of the Yoruba movie industry.

She insisted that many of them did not plan for their future but spent their youthful earnings on short-lived pleasures.

Although she did not mention names, her statement came just as Yoruba language actors like Charles Olumo also known as Agbako, Iya Gbonkan, Pariolodo, Lalude, and Baba Alapini have called for financial assistance from the public.

Her comment generated backlash from many within and outside the industry who accused her of a lack of empathy.
