Iyanya finally dumps Ubi Franklin’s Triple MG

Nigerian singer, Iyanya, has announced his departure from Ubi Franklin’s Mode Men Music Group (Triple MG).

The 29-year-old 2008 Project Fame winner made the announcement on Instagram late Wednesday night.

He has now berthed at Temple Management Company (TMC).

According to the singer, he and Ubi had long discussed and agreed on options to diversify their business interests and creative visions.

Iyanya announced earlier in the month that “I’ll be launching my new label n new album soon.”

An online publication blamed Ubi’s wife, Lilian Esoro, for an alleged bad blood between the two men, a claim Iyanya was quick to deny.

TMC, which also manages Don Jazzy’s Mavin, is led by Idris Olorunnimbe.

Ubi has congratulated Iyanya on his new move, calling him “my brother forever”.

Congratulations my Brother forever ❤️???????? #Repost @iyanya with @repostapp ・・・ Dear fans, I am pleased to announce that I have now signed on with Temple Management Company. About a year ago, Ubi and I discussed options to diversify our business interests and creative visions and we both agreed that we would explore all avenues open to us. So much has happened since and I have now completed work on my new album which will be released under a new record label. With both @thetemplecompany and the new album, I am now embarking in a direction which will not only bring you the same quality, verve and energy that you have become accustomed to, it will take things to the next level. Ubi remains my brother and we both look forward to this new phase of our careers. God bless you all.
